Subang Jaya is an affluent suburban city of Klang Valley, across the state line in Selangor to the west ofKuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

It consists of the (older) Subang Jaya on the Northern end of the city, the (newer) USJ on the Southern end, Batu Tiga and Putra Heights. The city is a much sought after refuge for middle to upper-middle-class Malaysians.

There is a huge mall culture in Malaysia (the bigger towns at least). If you visit the Klang Valley, you will notice shopping malls mushrooming in the landscape of the congested city. Within 10 minutes (or 20 in the case of bad traffic) of each other, you will see 3 (now 4 sizeable malls).

There are many sports centres in Subang Jaya. It is also very well known for its badminton as there are more than 10 badminton centres/courts there.futsal, fitness, goft and many more sport activitive can done there.

Whilst most Subang-ians venture out to the heart of Kuala Lumpur, others venture in. As it started of as a residential and very family-oriented suburb, nightlife in Subang is relatively "new".

Eating is the favorite pastime of most Malaysians. As such, many food outlets are dotted around Subang Jaya. There is a wide variety of food to choose from. Fast food franchises are ample in the city, most of which you can find in the shopping malls - from the basics like McDonald's, KFC, Subway, Burger King, A&W to bakery/confectionery like Bread Story, J&Co Donuts (Sunway Pyramid), Big Apple Donuts (Subang Parade), O'Briens and etc. Besides that, there are restaurants such as Tony Roma's, The Manhattan Fish Market, Nando's Chicken, Chili's, Din Tai Fung, T.G.I. Friday's, La Bodega

and etc. The city is mostly known for its Japanese foods as there are more than 10 Japanese restaurants.

Third online meeting and discussion

result of 2nd meeting - group members have suggest and gather all the interesting place of the Selangor. after voting decision, we choose Subangjaya as the point of area we mainly focus to promote it.

We will dicover some major information and tips which promote about the place. During our initial planning, we decided to focus on these main topics:

before the submission date, i need do some effort and more attractive thing for my wallpaper. beside for the technique, my basic theme is the text liner paper and have related with study. paper always has wrote the word, drawing and sketch, those i been done, ink splatter also been, 1 more thing i have did is...color!
so, i do some addition effect on the sketch building picture..that is blue sky~

simple brush technique and i love that effect! simple and got color!!simple is not only black and white!
beside, due to the picture i get, is limit by the photo size, so i decide to use the clone stamp effect to do it like paranormal picture...

advance layering

for the advance layering, i found a box which can help me to do the effect of the angle word.after i insert the box, i also do some effect of shadow around the box.

next, i would like to do vanishing point with my box.

after done vanish the point, i click OK and select the other picture which i wish to put on the box.

after selected, i use the keyboard short cut with Ctrl X to cut the layer. after than i go again into the varnishing point and paste and the free space.
next, i click and hold the layer which i paste and drop into the picture which is box, the layer of word ll follow the angle point of the box.

After that, I think i should put some effort for my background, so I use adjustment for the picture mmu which I chosen.

before i process the adjustment, i put the picture effect in Multiply. after then, image > adjustment > replace color!

do some adjustment for effective the sketch effect.

after then, i use filter to do the sketch effect for the building picture. final result come out

Word

After I met the problem for merge the layer, I decided to change my FOM word with other technic, although madam Lydia had suggested me use the masking. I tried, but fail and can’t do in prefect. So I decide play the word with FIRE!!

After I type the ‘Faculty of Management’, I duplicated the text layer, but i're actually going to create the main fire effect on the original text layer, saving the copy for later. In fact, i don't even need to see the copy for the moment, so click on the small eyeball icon (officially known as the layer visibility icon) on the far left of the layer in the Layers palette. The eyeball will disappear from the Layers palette, and the layer itself will disappear in the document:

 

 

 

 

 

After then, I select the original text layer. To create the flames for text effect, i'll be using a few of Photoshop's filters, and the first one i'll be using - the Wind filter - only works from left to right (or right to left), which means that in order to use it, i'll need to rotate our image. Go up to the Image menu at the top of the screen, choose Rotate Canvas, and then choose 90° CW (clockwise):

i need to soften the streaks up a little bit by applying a small amount of blurring to them. For that, i'll use Photoshop's Gaussian Blur filter. Go up to the Filter menu at the top of the screen, choose Blur, and then choose Gaussian Blur:

i simply drag a selection around the area that i want to work with! First, i'll need the Rectangular Marquee Tool, so either select it from the Tools palette or press the letter M on your keyboard to select it with the shortcut:

With the area that we want to work with selected, go up to the Filter menu at the top of the screen and choose Liquify:

This brings up Photoshop's massive Liquify filter dialog box, which consists of some tools along the left, a very large preview area in the center, and a lot of potentially confusing options on the right. If you've never used the Liquify filter before, there's no need to panic. For this effect, all we need here is one tool, one option, and the preview area. Everything else, we can safely ignore.
First, select the Forward Warp Tool from the very top of the list of tools along the left:

Next, over on the right of the dialog box, you'll see a section called Tool Options, and the very first option in this section is Brush Size. This is where we can change the size of the brush we're using, and it's the only option we need for this effect. Start with a medium size brush. The default brush size of 100 should work fine:

This time, click directly inside the letters and drag your mouse upward to create the shapes of little flames shooting out from them. You can drag straight up for some of the flames, but for others, try to drag on more of an angle to add more variety. Wiggling your mouse a little as you drag upward will also help create more interesting looking flames. If you make a mistake, press Ctrl+Z  to undo your last brush stroke, then continue on. If you need to undo several steps, press Ctrl+Alt+Z  / as many times as you need. When you're done with the tops of the letters, do the same thing with the bottom of the letters, as well as any other areas that look like they could use some flames shooting out of them. Don't spend too much time thinking about where your next flame should go, since fire should look random and chaotic, not planned and controlled.

The first thing we'll do is give our white streaks more of a wispy look to them. Click inside the streaks at different spots and drag your mouse a short distance either left or right to gently warp the streaks and give them some subtle, random curves. Just click, drag a short distance and release your mouse button, then click and drag again in a different area. Try not to click inside the letters themselves for now. Just warp and wiggle the streaks. And include the streaks in the middle and bottom sections of the letters.

Let's add some color to our flames. For that, i use a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer. Click on the New Adjustment Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers palette, and then select Hue/Saturation from the list that appears:

We'll add one more color to our flames using a second Hue/Saturation adjustment layer. Click once again on the New Adjustment Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers palette and select Hue/Saturation from the list. This time, don't select the Colorize option. Just set the Hue value to around -15 for a deeper orange color.

 

Go up to the Blend Mode option in the top left corner of the Layers palette (it's the drop-down box that by default is set to "Normal"). Change the blend mode for the second Hue/Saturation adjustment layer to Overlay

Photoshop's Layer Style dialog box set to the Gradient Overlay options in the middle column. Click on the gradient preview area in the center of the options.

Do have the paper damaged effect, I found the layer which dark deep background and I use brush tools to draw the crack with less master diameter. 

 

Due to the picture of the dark deep background layer is too small and cannot cover the 'O'pen which wish have a effect like hided inside the hole, so I use the clone stamp tools to make the coverage more bigger (hold ALT + click the area u wish to copy) then draw the picture by inspect symbol + , which is the area will be copy.

To let the alphabet have damaged effect, I apply background eraser tools.

 

I need to paste some photo which related with MMU, before apply it, I will check the balance of tone for that picture.

If I am not satisfy the color of picture, I do the image adjustment which is Auto color in selection of image (shortcut key- Shift + CRTL + B)

Use the level under adjustment to balance the tone

you can try more manual way which is adjustment > brightness / contrast. I let the contrast higher and brightness less.

Use the dodge tool to bring bring light and shadow into flat images

Image > canvas size (key- ALT + CTRL + C), can make the color line around the picture. you need to adjust width of picture.

After then, I import the entire picture which I have done edit in to the project, and find the suitable place.

Our group Profile

271 is a group which established by Multimedia University students of Faculty of Management. All of us stay in Malaysia such as long time, more than half person of our group is Malaysian, and we love our country and know she’s beauty. We collect the information of she’s beauty to intro she face to the world.

The reason we choose the state Selangor from 14 state of Malaysia. It is because Selangor is completely surrounds the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, both of which were once under Selangor's sovereignty. We believe that there are many great stories to promote our tourism of Malaysia.

Selangor is also the richest state in Malaysia in terms of gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. This state is also the most developed in Malaysia with good infrastructure such as highways and transport. The state also has the largest population in Malaysia, with a high standard of living and the state's poverty rate is the lowest in the country.

Objective

“Marketing Malaysia as a destination of excellence and to make the tourism industry a major contributor to the socio-economic development of the nation”

Our objective is to promote Malaysia as an outstanding tourist destination through the Website.

Demographics of the end-user/target audience profile.

After our discussion, we decided our target audience/end users are in 18-60 age groups. The supporting material is as bellow:

A few online activities previously dominated by either older generations or younger generations are now being done more equally across all generations under 73 years old. One such activity is downloading videos, an activity that in 2005 was significantly more popular with teens and Generation Y than with any other generation. Generation X is catching up, as 31% of that generation claim to download videos as of 2007, compared with 38% of Generation Y. Generations on the oldest end of the spectrum also became significantly more likely than they had been two years before to download videos. Some 13% of G.I. Generation internet users (age 73+) reported downloading videos, up from 1% in 2005, and another 13% of the online Silent Generation (ages 64-72) say they download videos, up from 8% in 2005.

Perhaps less surprisingly, Generation Y is also gaining significant ground in some activities previously dominated by Generation X and older. In addition to becoming more likely to do banking online, Generation Y has also grown more likely to make travel reservations online. In 2005, half (50%) of Generation Y internet users had booked travel arrangements online and in 2008 that number rose to 65%. During the same period, the percentages of Generation X and older generations to make online travel reservations remained about the same.

The workplace online network is expanding to include more Generation Y users.⁵ Internet users 18-32 are going online more than ever to do research for their jobs. In 2007, 51% said they used the internet for their jobs other than for email, compared with 44% of the same group in 2005.

Week 5 have to submit the initial proposal, seem we have running out of time, i has been email to my group member to give some idea about the website to finish the proposal, but just fewer reply me the email, even i send another email to notice them. 
Same..nothing reply in my inbox..i feel dispointed, but i have to go through it through fewer power of us. hope we can do it as well.

layering skill & text- assignment 1 process2 (part2)

Use the horizontal type tools to type the text. Before that, I would like to set the front family and front size, also use the color form color picker to pick the color. After the word type and the new layer was created, right click the layer and choose the Rasterize type to proceed the transformation.

 

Select the perspective, because I need to transform the word with an angle which rather than a straight on view.

The word likely spread out effect.

 

To let the text have the effect of 3D, I copy another same the layer of the text. After this, to make the text 3D effect and need copy much same layer of text, to make me easier and fast, I use the ALT+ UP, then I get 30 layers without 5 second.

To make the 3D effect more obvious, I use the blending option, Gradient overlay to adjust the color effect with move the opacity, and use blend it.

Beside the color effect, I use the Transform skill to make the shadow on the ground effect. Make a copy layer of the text, Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical, the copy will transform the opposite of the word, I use the transform perspective to adjust the text pattern which is like the shadow effect.

After finish perspective process, adjust the color, I use the eraser tool with do the adjustment on the hardness figure to let the text more blur and like the shadow.

After created a background for the wallpaper and added in some elements which is using skill selection (http://tanklim88.blogspot.com/2011/06/selection-skill-use-in-assignment-1.html) of course, when the elements drag and drop into the background,new layer is created.

From these pictures, you can see there have 6-7 layers which is the element I selected before. But then I would like to make adjustment for my background by use Brightness / contrast have let the contrast figure more and less brightness to give it an old paper effect like shown in the background. 

Next i would like to change my selection picture with apply the outer glow to make around of it more brightly.

after color selected, can adjust the opacity, spread limit and glow size

it also can apply on the TM logo, the outer glow can let the text or logo more brightly or have shadow effect

the result which applied the outer glow skill and i arrange them in a site, under the layer position, the picture of logo TM university arrange according to the top and following on is the bee and the MMU logo.

After his, for more easy and tidy, i put these 3 layer into 1 layer. Use shift key to highlight these three layers which i need to combine and right click select the merge layer.

add a ink splatter layer above the text, and use opacity to adjust the transparency at the back.
